Astrology is very popular and common these days. Many people use their horoscope as a lead-in to the type of day or month they will have, or even how their relationships will work out. Writing a horoscope takes skill and practice. Take these tips in order to write a good horoscope.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start reading as many horoscopes as you can. Creating a good horoscope begins with reading a lot. Take notes and write down any writing styles you like. Make a separate column to also write down what you don't like so that you can avoid it in your own writing.

  2. Step 2

Study the charts in order to read horoscopes. Learn to know the chart featuring the Sun and the Moon and how they align with the planets. You will also want to become familiar with the twelve Zodiac signs. The more information you learn, the better your predictions will be tailored to specific signs.

  3. Step 3

Adapt the writing style of horoscope writers. Make your words vague so people will be able to relate it to themselves. Make your statements general yet interesting.

  4. Step 4

Keep your horoscopes simple and short. One or two-liners usually work best because that way people will remember those few words and try to apply them throughout their day. Long complicated horoscopes quickly lose the interests of their readers.

  5. Step 5

Write for your audience. Take note whether you are writing for a younger or older group, or even a business audience. Think about who will be reading your horoscopes as you write them. Cater to your readers and they will be wanting more.
