A heart circle, sometimes called a friendship circle, is a gathering of people who share a desire to live a joyful life. Participants sit in a circle and spend time actively changing their thought patterns and behaviors. Friendship circles help build strong friendships and live happy lives.

Instructions

Step1
Determine when and where your heart circle will be meet each week. Make sure you choose a place that can accommodate all your members comfortably.
Step2
Gather the members of your circle. Anyone who has a desire to live fully and in joy will benefit from being in a friendship circle and will benefit the other members of a friendship circle.
Step3
Join the circle together and ask everyone to hold hands and close their eyes. Allow everyone to sit quietly for a few moments to focus on releasing stress and living in the moment.
Step4
Go around the circle and ask each member to give a brief summary of how they're feeling.
Step5
Talk about turning your inner thoughts from negative to positive, viewing the world with empathy and compassion and strengthening relationships.
Step6
Provide support to each other as your heart circle grows. With practice, participants will grow in their ability to give and receive joy throughout their daily lives.
Step7
Close your heart circle with a few quiet moments and a prayer of thanksgiving.
