Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Remember that less is more. Be simple in your fashion and accessory choices. Wear something that fits your frame and shows off the best part of your body, but not your whole body. Do cover yourself up. There's nothing awesome about leaving nothing to the imagination.
Step2
Be confident about who you are. This takes some practice, especially if you don't feel that way already. To perfect this step, take all the people you consider awesome off their pedestals and realize that they have flaws and strengths just like you do.
Step3
Arrive when you want to. Some people think that, in order to be cool, you must arrive at least 15 minutes late. However, if you enjoy being on time, forcing yourself to be late will make you antsy and go against your instincts. Go when you feel best about going. If you're early, chat with some friends. If you're late, make your entrance count.
Step4
Dance when you feel the music. You're not going to look awesome if you're dancing the entire night or just because everyone else is out on the floor. Request your favorite songs from the DJ if nothing is making you feel like expressing yourself.
Step5
Know at least one dance move well. Lots of people stand in a circle and step from side to side all night long while varying their arm movements. Try to come up with something original and show your stuff at an opportune moment.
Step6
Choose your friends wisely. If your friends like to pick fights, don't like to dance or are scheming on other people's dates, you might end up guilty by association. In order to look awesome to others, find some awesome friends to hang out with.
