1
Lay one paper towel tube on your work surface. Use tape or a hot glue gun to attach one toilet paper tube to one end of the paper towel tube, to form an L shape.
-
2
Attach a second toilet paper tube to the opposite end of the paper towel tube in the same manner, making a large C shape. Let the hot glue harden completely before moving on.
-
-
3
Lay the C shaped tubes flat on your work surface, this will be the top of your goal post. Lay the second paper towel tube perpendicular to the first paper towel tube. Center the second tube and glue it into place, forming a large Y shape. Let the glue dry completely.
-
4
Test the goal post for stability by gently wiggling the glued joints. Reinforce the joints with tape if necessary.
-
5
Make tubes out of construction paper or card stock if you do not have paper towel and toilet tissue tubes. Roll several pieces of paper tightly together. Secure the tubes with heavy tape.
-
6
Fill the end of the second tube with sand or small rocks. Put tape over the end to keep them in place. Stand the goal post up. Gently shake the goal post to settle the rocks and stabilize the goal.
