Finding true contentment isn't something you can snap your fingers to achieve. It takes some work, but once you have it and know how to keep hold of it, you feel better in all aspects of your life. Using stress management, meditation, vacations and anything else that makes you happy, you can find bliss and feel free to be you.

Step1
Be grateful for what you have in life. Recognize the positives instead of focusing on the negatives and learn to expect good things. When you keep a positive outlook, you end up happier and more ready to handle challenges.
Step2
Surround yourself with people that make you happy. Lean on your friends and let them lean on you. Call up your best friends just to talk or invite them to lunch to catch up on your busy lives.
Step3
Work on being the best person possible. Keep learning, growing and thinking. Focus on being fascinating and compassionate.
Step4
Do things you love. Go to the beach, take time to read, practice yoga, play tennis--whatever it is you enjoy. Make time for play in your busy work schedule.
Step5
Ask for help when you need it. Rely on others--clergymen, doctors, counselors and friends--to help you through stressful times. Don't try to shoulder it on your own.
Step6
Meditate. Think about your day when you get home or write a journal focusing on what was great about the day and what you could have done to make it a more positive experience. Take deep breaths and let the stresses of the day go.

  • Eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water. Keep your body physically fit and you may find your mental health improves as well.
  • Find bliss anywhere. Stop to look at a sunny sky, ride your bicycle to work, read a book during your lunch break--you can find happiness in the small or large things.
