How to Get a Guy to Ask You to a Dance as a Preteen

Those preteen years can be full of heartache, emotion and thrills. With those hormones raging and a dance slowly approaching, you may be feeling anxious to be asked to the school dance. If you are hoping that a guy will ask you to a dance, it is important to remain calm and cool. You definitely don't want to seem desperate or overanxious.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Get to know the guy who you have a crush on. Don't expect the guy to just ask you to the dance out of nowhere. If you spend some time showing interest in his life and hobbies, he may genuinely want to get to know you better too.
Step2
Ask your friends to casually ask the guy if he has a date for the dance. If he says no, have your friends mention the fact that you don't have a date either. If you already know the guy, he may feel at ease asking you to the dance. If you don't know the guy, he may feel confused as to why they are mentioning this to him.
Step3
Take the initiative and approach the guy and ask him who his date for the dance is. If you look nice and begin to flirt a little bit with him, he may understand the reason behind your question.
Step4
Pressure the guy to take you to the dance. If you are already friends with him and you are just seeking out a date for the dance so that you don't look desperate, tell him that. If he is a true friend, he will understand and will probably expect a favor back from you in the future.
Step5
Thank the guy for help in your classes and ask if you could return the favor by being his date at the dance. Some guys will be wowed by this and will not understand that it is a subtle form of trickery.
