Sims are naturally monogamous, but if you want to tackle a big challenge in your Sims 2 game, try making a Sim have multiple live-in partners. It can be done but takes some careful planning and attention to detail.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Get your Sim into a romantic relationship with another Sim. To do this, have your Sim spend time becoming friends with the object of his affection. Then, use flirting and kissing interactions to get the Sims to have romantic feelings toward each other.
Step2
Have your Sim ask his love interest to move in with him once they have a relationship score of 70 in both daily and lifetime. You can do this by clicking on the Sim and choosing the "Propose" and "Move In" interactions.
Step3
Repeat the process with another Sim, while taking great care to make sure all romantic interactions with the new love interest are conducted when your Sim's current partner is not at home or is in another room. Invite the other Sim to move in once your Sim's relationship score with her is high enough.
Step4
Continue having your Sim get into romantic relationships and inviting them to move in until your Sim has as many partners as you want him to have. Play the game constantly making sure to keep all romantic interactions behind closed doors.

Tips & Warnings

  • The maximum number of live-in partners one Sim can have is seven, as no lot can have more than eight people living on it.
  • It's best to use a Sim with the romance aspiration when seeking multiple partners, as having multiple partners is something a romance Sim always wants.
  • The "Woohoo" or "Try for Baby" interactions can only be done undetected when the Sim's other partner is completely off the lot. Any Sim who is on the lot at the time will know what is going on.
  • Keep your eye on your Sims' autonomous interactions. Often times Sims will autonomously attempt a romantic interaction with another Sim. If you want to keep your Sim's other partners from catching your Sim cheating, be ready to cancel these interactions as they appear.
