One of the best ways to get help with problems you're facing, is to talk to God. While prayer and fellowship won't necessarily solve your problems, it helps you find solutions to your problems while being able to think about and discuss your problems with a higher power.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Prayer journal

Step1
Understand how to deal with problems and temptations by talking to a religious counselor, such as a priest or pastor. Since many problems result from the lack of resistance to temptations, find out what God says about overcoming temptations.
Step2
Begin each day with prayer and a daily devotional. This helps start your day with a positive outlook and gives you time with God so you can pray about your problem.
Step3
Keep a journal and jot down what problems you're dealing with, and how you expect God to help you. Then write down what you're doing on a daily basis so that God can help you. Write down when you pray, if you fast, when you attend church, when you speak with a pastor or friend and how you've been looking for any solutions God might be sending you.
Step4
Know that just because you're depending on God to help you with problems, doesn't mean your life will always be happy. You must realize this so you don't blame God for not helping you, and so you turn to him even more when times are tough.
Step5
Turn your problem over to God. Let go of the worry, pain or any other feeling caused by your problem, and trust that God will help you through it. Pray hard and often, but stop focusing on your problem as something you must deal with alone.
Step6
Realize that an answer to your problem may not be what you were expecting or even what you want. If you've been struggling financially and God sends a person into your life who offers you a high paying job in another state, you need to realize that this is an answer, even if you don't want to move or don't think you can. You must trust that God is taking care of your problem.
