Celebrate Halloween and prepare your skin for fall with a pumpkin facial mask. Plentiful during the Halloween season, pumpkins are high in vitamins A, C and zinc that nourish and moisturize your skin. Pumpkins also contain enzymes that gently dissolve dead layers of skin. The overall effect of a pumpkin-based Halloween facial mask is to lift away dead skin and regenerate and nourish new skin.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cooked or canned pumpkin
  • Honey
  • Milk
  • Heavy whipping cream (optional)
  • Apple cider vinegar (optional)
  1. Step 1

Combine enough cooked or canned pumpkin to cover your face, a small amount of honey and a splash of milk. Honey is a regenerative ingredient while the milk and the pumpkin enzymes digest and lift old skin cells. The ingredients in this facial mask together exfoliate, regenerate and nourish the skin.

  2. Step 2

Clean your face. Apply the facial mask gently to your face in small circular motions, avoiding the eye area. Use your fingers or a small sponge.

  3. Step 3

Allow the mask to stay on your face for 10 to 15 minutes. Relax during this time if possible. Maximize the impact of your facial and create a spa environment with soothing music and scented candles. Rest promotes the healing process for the skin.

  4. Step 4

Rinse with warm water. Dry your face lightly. Use a toner or astringent to close the pores after the facial mask. Apply the appropriate moisturizer for your skin type. Enjoy the healthy glow for your Halloween celebration.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add a small amount heavy whipping cream if you have dry skin.
  • For oily skin, add a dash of apple cider vinegar.
