Trillian 2.0 instant messenger allows you to set buddy icons for each or all of your Trillian connections. It's a simple process that requires you to simply browse and select a new icon to use for a certain connection.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Trillian 2.0
Step1
Start Trillian 2.0 and double-click the icon in the task bar of your computer. The "Preferences" dialog box will open.
Step2
Click "Buddy Icons" from the "General" list on the left side of the "Preferences" dialog box. The settings for buddy icons will be displayed on the right side of the dialog box.
Step3
Add a check mark before the phrase "Use One Icon For All Connections" to have only one buddy icon appear for all connections in Trillian. Leave this box unchecked to choose a different buddy icon for each connection.
Step4
Choose the connection you want to apply a buddy icon to from the "Connection" drop-down list. This option is only available if you have chosen to set a new buddy icon for each connection.
Step5
Press the "Browse" button in the middle of the "Preferences" dialog box to open the "Browse" dialog box.
Step6
Browse and click to select the new buddy icon you want to use in Trillian. Click the "OK" button to close the "Browse" dialog box. You will now see a preview of the buddy icon you have selected in the "Preview" window just to the left of the "Browse" button.
Step7
Push the "OK" button to close the "Preferences" dialog box and return to your Trillian messenger. Your new buddy icon will appear whenever you are chatting with a contact.
