How to Change Font Options in Trillian

By default, Trillian sets the font inside the instant messenger and chat windows to be Arial 9 with no style or color. You can customize your font easily using the "Preferences" dialog box inside of Trillian. Find out how you can change the font options in Trillian by following the steps below.

      Start Trillian 2.0 instant messenger and allow it to load into the system tray in the bottom right corner of your computer screen. Double-click on the Trillian icon to open the instant messenger onto the desktop.

      Choose the "Options" menu and click on "Preferences" to open the "Preferences" dialog box.

      Select the "Fonts" option on left side of the "Preferences" dialog box in the "General" section. The font settings display on the right side of the dialog box.

      Click the "Apply to all Mediums" checkbox to set the font options for all of your available connections. Uncheck the box and then choose a connection from the "Medium" list to apply the font options to only one of your connections.

      Press the "Choose" button that is to the right of the "Face" and "Size" text boxes to open the "Choose" dialog box. Set the face and size using the drop-down lists and click "OK" to close the dialog box.

      Check the boxes in the "Style" section to apply "Bold," "Italics" or "Underline" to your font.

      Push the "Choose" button to the right of the "Foreground Color" and "Background Color" to open a dialog box where you can change the foreground and background colors. Select the "OK" button to close the "Preferences" dialog box and return to Trillian.
