When you first add a markup to Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional using one of the markup tools, you control the size of the markup as it appears on the screen. You can resize these markups at anytime using the "Hand Tool." This tool allows you to make a markup smaller, larger or you can morph it into a different shape.

  1. Step 1

Start Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and open a document from your files that contains a markup that you want to resize.

  2. Step 2

Select the "Hand Tool" from the "Select & Zoom" toolbar. The "Hand Tool" is located near the center of the "Select & Zoom" toolbar and is the picture of a hand. Once you activate the "Hand Tool," your mouse cursor will turn into a hand.

  3. Step 3

Click to select the markup that you want to resize. It will be outlined in blue once it is selected.

  4. Step 4

Point to one of the white sizing handles. Your mouse pointer will turn into a small white arrow.

Click and drag to resize the selected markup. Pulling out on the markup will make it larger while pulling in on the markup will make it smaller.

  6. Step 6

Release the mouse button when you have resized the markup to the size that you want.
