When you first use a markup tool to add a markup in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional, you place it in the PDF where you think it fits best. If in the future you decide you want to move the markup to a new location, you can do so easily. The Hand Tool allows you to move a markup from one location to another.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional

Step1
Launch Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and open a PDF from your files that contains a markup that you want to move from one location to another.
Step2
Select the "Hand Tool" from the "Select & Zoom" toolbar. The "Hand Tool" is in the middle of the "Select & Zoom" toolbar and is depicted by a picture of a hand. Once selected, your cursor will turn into a hand.
Step3
Hover your mouse over the markup that you want to move. The mouse will turn into a black arrow when you are above a markup that you can move.
Step4
Click and drag the markup to the new location where you would like to place it. As you drag the markup across the screen, the markup will appear in blue indicating that it is being moved.
Step5
Release the mouse button to drop the markup tool in its new location.
Step6
Continue to move any other markups that need to be moved from one location to another.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you don't see the "Select & Zoom" toolbar, choose the "View" menu, point to "Toolbars" and click "Select & Zoom" to open it in the Adobe Acrobat desktop.
