Once you have created a markup in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional, you can go back and modify the properties. Modifying the properties of your markup will allow you to give a whole new look to the markup by changing the color, opacity and other settings.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional

Step1
Start Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and open an existing document from your files that contains markup properties that you want to modify.
Step2
Right click on top of the markup that you want to modify to display a shortcut menu. Choose "Properties" from the shortcut menu to open the "Properties" dialog box.
Step3
Change the color of the property by clicking on the color well and then choosing a color from the swatches in the drop-down box. You can also click on "Other Color" at the bottom of the drop-down box. This will open the "Color" dialog box which will allow you to create a custom color to use with the existing markup tool.
Step4
Set the opacity of the markup by typing a new value in the text box beside the word "Opacity" or use the slider to decrease or increase the opacity of the markup.
Step5
Select the other properties you want to modify using the drop-down lists and text boxes in the "Properties" dialog box. The settings that will be displayed will vary depending on which markup tool you are modifying. You can choose a different icon for the sticky note tool and you can change the fill and stroke for the shape markup tools.
Step6
Click the "OK" button to close the "Properties" dialog and return to your PDF in Adobe Acrobat. The properties for the selected markup will be changed to what you just specified.
