Do the Crooked Grind to a Noseslide in one combination on your skateboard. This isn't as hard as it sounds since the Crooked Grind ends in a ready position for the Noseslide anyway and the Noseslide is one of the easiest tricks to learn. However, you'll want to practice the Crooked Grind and get it down before attempting the combo.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Wax the step or ledge you are going to use with skateboarding curb wax.
Step2
Start riding toward the curb at a 45 degree angle. Place your front foot more toward the board's nose than usual. You'll need some speed to get a good grind on the concrete. Pop an ollie to start the grind while you drag his front foot further up the nose.
Step3
Keep your forward foot high up on the nose of the board while you are in the air a few inches above the curb. Lean back, but not too much that you slip backwards. Start to point your foot down toward the curb's edge.
Step4
Smack the board's nose down. Land with the front truck (wheels) grinding the edge of the curb. The board's tail should be hanging out over the edge. That position is the classic Crooked Grind placement. Ride it out.
Step5
Transition into the Noseslide. Lean forward to tilt more of the board to ride the curb on the flat underneath side of the nose. That's all there is to the Noseslide. The faster you are going, the longer you will slide. Crouch down low. Keep most of your body weight forward over the front foot.
Step6
Pivot the board forward or backwards, whichever is more comfortable to you, when you are ready to come out of the slide (or have run out of wax or curb). Land on the lower ground smoothly and roll away.
