Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- A trash can
- File Box
- Open Mind
Step1
The trick to organization is finding a place for stuff. So if books go in one corner than thats all that goes there. There needs to be places for each thing. Papers need to be filed ect. Cds go on top of the desk or pens go in the drawer. Just choose a place for stuff and decide that nothing else belongs there.
Step2
Another big trick is not having so much stuff. A lot of people convince themselves they need certain stuff, or they'll use it someday, or it has sentimental value, or even that it's just too time consuming to get rid of. Well here is m #1 advice JUST THROW THAT STUFF AWAY!!! Keep 1 or 2 sentimental boxes which can fit into a closet or a basement. But other than that you shouldn't have that stuff that is just there. Papers that don't need to be kept and filed get rid of! A lot of this stuff you can get rid of by having a garage sale. Use the extra cash for something fun or doing something nice to your place. Buy a new tv. Or whatever you'd like. Many people don't realize how much cash is in their junk that is just taking up space. Less stuff less organizing trouble. So keep what you use and need. Get rid of the excess.
Step3
If you want you can spend money on shelves, boxes, files, or any other type of organizing piece. You don't REALLY NEED it though. Organization is a choice and a mind set. Those things just make it a little easier. But they can also just end up as another place to stuff your junk in. So be careful.
