Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Develop a negative experience into a positive one. When Whoopi was snubbed by screen legend, Bette Davis at a Hollywood party years ago, she simply replied politely to the actress and turned the story into comedic material later on.
Step2
Seek comic relief. Whoopi has starred in numerous Comic Relief HBO specials with fellow comedians, Billy Crystal and Robin Williams. When you spend enough time around professional comedians, you're bound to laugh.
Step3
Sound like a car engine starting. Whoopi's laughter escapes in a raspy stream, and sounds a little bit like a car.
Step4
Work with people like Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Whoopi's co-hosts on "The View." If you worked with these guys 5 days a week, you'd be laughing too (and not necessarily with them).
Step5
Be selective with what tickles your funny bone. She's not quite bubbly, not quite giddy–it takes a lot to get a huge guffaw out of Whoopi, which usually means humor that's intelligent, witty and spontaneous. Otherwise, Whoopi will usually just smile politely.
Step6
Laugh all the way to the bank. Whoopi earns a reported salary of $2 million per year for her work on "The View."
