Things You’ll Need:

• Craft these hearts by using any hook size with any corresponding yarn or yarns. Plain worsted weight yarn works fantastically.

1. foundation chain Chain 2 (just like a very small foundation chain)
2. Row 1: Make 2 single crochet stitches (sc) in the second chain from the hook. This step has made 2 single crochets.
3. Row 2: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets in each single crochet across. This step makes 4 sc’s.
4. Row 3: Chain 1, turn, sc in first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in last sc. This has made 5 single crochets.
5. Row 4: Chain 1, turn, sc in first sc, 4 dc in next sc, sl st in next sc, 4 dc in next sc, sc in next sc. Row 4 should have 11 stitches.
6. Finishing: Do not turn heart; instead, pivot (work in holes) to work around lower edges of heart. Work sc evenly spaced around lower edges of heart, working 2 sc in lower point. Join with sl st in first sc of row 4.
