If you're getting bored of plain old flowers on your dinner table, switch it up! Read below for some alternative ideas to centerpieces.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Fruit
  • Candles
  • Water
  • Bowl
  • Candy

Step1
Fruit. A bowl of fruit on your table is a modern twist to the dated flowers. For an added effect, fill a vase or stack them on an angular stand. Some of your best bets are lemons, limes, and green apples.
Step2
Candles. Put small floating candles in a low bowl in the center of the table. One color is nice, but you can mix it up and add bold colors for contrast. Make sure the bowl is shallow enough that your guests can see into it without straining.
Step3
Candy. Who wouldn't love a vase filled with jelly beans? You can also try Twizzlers in a vase. It looks really neat if you fan out the tops around the edge of the vase.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you keep all your center pieces below eye level so your guests are constantly craning around them to see each other.
