Step1
Soft contacts has a larger circumference that helps them stay on your eyes while in the water. If you can see well without your contact, avoid swimming with hard contact lenses. hard and gas permeable lenses are more likely to be washed away while swimming.
Step2
Insert your contacts at least 30 minutes before you swim.
Step3
Apply one or two drops of saline solution to your contacts to reduce the risk of losing a lens.
Step4
Always wear goggles when swimming with contacts. This may prevent infection from the bacteria acanthamoeba.
Step5
After swimming with contacts, be sure to disinfect the contacts overnight with contact solution.
Step6
If your are wearing disposable contacts, throw them away after swimming and start with new ones the next day.
