on 5/1/2008 I did this a couple months ago and am already receiving less junk. I've been worried about junk mail and identity theft for a long time now. And while I've always been religious about shredding my mail like credit cards and bills, I still felt really uneasy about people fishing through the mail and recycling for my personal info.

I think anyone who's ever thought about the waste produced by junk mail or the risk of ID theft should take these easy steps! The cost is only $3.50 a year for peace of mind!
