A lot of beginning crocheters have wondered "how in the world am i supposed to crochet a circle?". I wondered the same thing when i started. Here are some simple instructions on how to do it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • any size hook with appropriate yarn
  1. Step 1

    Cast on, then chain 6.

  2. Step 2

Single crochet into the slip stitch to form a ring.

  3. Step 3

Single crochet into the middle of the ring until you can't fit any more stitches in it. You will be surprised as to how many stitches can fit!

  4. Step 4

Single crochet into the front of every stitch, then single crochet into the back of the same stitch. This is what makes the circle flat.

  5. Step 5
    A crocheted circle

  • Be creative! experiment with double crochet, half double crochet, or anything else you can think of! there are many, many different ways to make a circle.
  • With enough skill and work, you could even make an elegant doily or coaster.
