How to Create a Signature for the Top and Bottom of an Email in Outlook

If you would like to configure your email account with outlook to do any of the following. If you are in need of personalizing your email you've come to the right place. If you would like to write your email while off line. If you would like to add a customized signature you can follow these simple instructions and do just that. The best part is your emails you write in outlook will actually come from your internet email account and the only one who will know the difference is you.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An internet server
  • Outlook (comes with all windows programs)
  1. Step 1

    Open your internet program and sign on to the internet.

  2. Step 2

    Click the help button at the top of the screen in the toolbar.

  3. Step 3

    In the search box type Outlook®.

  4. Step 4

    Your search results should have a result that looks something like this. How to Use Microsoft® Outlook® Express 6 to Read and Send AOL® or AIM® E-mail.

  5. Step 5

    Follow the instructions to configure the email. This way you can send your custom signature emails.

  6. Step 6

    Now that you have configured your Outlook® and outside email to work together you are ready to create your signature.

  7. Step 7

    Outlook® is still open. Click on the tools options at the top of the Outlook® window. A new window pops up go to it.

  8. Step 8

    There are different tabs at the top of this pop up box, Click on the MAIL FORMAT tab.

  9. Step 9

    Start reading the new info in the box. You will need to choose the format of your email if it isn't already HTML.

  10. Step 10

    Click to check the box next to the info that says use Microsoft® word to edit email. Now its time for the signature.

  11. Step 11

    At the bottom of the box near is the word signatures... on a button. Click on it. Then click the new button to create the custom signature.

  12. Step 12

    If you need too click start with a blank signature. Then click the next button.

  13. Step 13

    Then type in your custom signature. You can use your name or add your business name after your name by pressing enter etc... In this window you can edit your signature text and font just like a regular document. Click ok in the edit box when you are done.

  14. Step 14

    Click finish and preview your signature in the create a new signature dialog box. Click ok to be returned to the options box. You can repeat these steps to create all kinds of signatures and manage them.

  15. Step 15

    You can also choose to use your signature on only your outgoing emails. Click Signature for new emails List arrow and then click the new signature you've created. If it is not clicked already click none in the signature for replies and forwards list box. Click ok and your done.
