Some wipes contain ingredients that can be irritating to your baby's skin. Use this simple "recipe" to make strong, soft, good-for-your-baby wipes.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 roll of paper towels
  • a sharp knife
  • 1 tablespoon baby oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons liquid baby bath wash
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • bowl and utensil for mixing
  • tupperware-type container sized to hold 1/2 a roll of paper towel
  • small paring knife

Step1
Cut a roll of paper towels in half using a sharp knife (I don't recommend using a serrated knife because it will tear the paper towel).
Step2
Place paper towel in "tupperware" container.
Step3
Combine oil, body wash and hot water in bowl.
Step4
Pour mixture over paper towel. Let sit 10-15 minutes until paper towel absorbs mixture.
Step5
Remove cardboard roll from center of paper towel, pulling center sheet of paper towel with it.
Step6
Using paring knife, cut an "X" in the center of the "tupperware" lid. Pull center sheet of paper towel through. Snap lid on container.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try using coordinating scented oil and body wash, such as lavender.
  • If your baby has sensitivities, try using a soap-free body wash, such as Aquaphor and Burt's Bees baby oil.
  • Use Viva paper towels for extra softness.
