Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Open your Microsoft Outlook program. These instructions may be similar to other e-mail programs, but these steps are based on Outlook 2003.
-
Step 2
Tools MenuClick on the toolbar option that reads "Tools." From the drop down menu, select "Options."
-
Step 3
Options WindowAfter selecting "Options" from the drop down menu, a small window box will appear on your screen with a series of tabs to choose. Select the "Mail Format" tab.
-
Step 4
From this tab, you can change your Message Format, Staionery and Fonts, or Signatures. However, we will focus on Signatures (the area at the bottom of the "Mail Format" tab).
If you have more than one e-mail account, select the account you would like to associate the signature with. The above photo shows pop.atlanticbb.net in this area, but you should see your own e-mail provider's information in this box. -
Step 5
Next, click the "Signatures..." button. This will take you to a new "Create Signature" box where you can begin to develop your new signature for future e-mails. From this window, click the "New..." button.
-
Step 6
From here, you should see a "Create New Signature" box. Here you can give your new signature a name or upload a file as a template to use for a signature. To keep this simple, click on the circle next to "Start with a blank signature."
-
Step 7
A new "Edit Signature" box appears. At this point, you are ready to type in your new signature in the plain white box. You also can change the font or paragraph style. I would not recommend using the Advanced Edit at this stage. Once completed simply click "Ok" and this type will be added to the bottom or top of all NEW outgoing messages based on where you place your e-mail text. If you would also like your signature added to REPLIES and FORWARDED messages simply select the signature name from the "Options" box "Mail Format" tab.
