Don't know where to vacation this summer? How about at a movie location. You can stay at the same motel where they filmed No Country for Old Men or visit Wally World. Read more to find out how.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • computer

Step1
There are many places on the internet that list movie locations. Check out movielocationsguide.com for ideas of places that you can go to. Whether you take a day trip and drink a soda at Schwab's drugstore or golf at the Rolling Hills Hotel & Resort in Florida, where they shot Caddyshack, there is lots of great ideas for vacations.
Step2
Start booking now. The movie locations for recent movies like I am Legend will be booked by the summer, so pick your location now and have a back up location in mind, just in case.
Step3
Once you decide on your location, rent or buy the movie that was shot there and identify where the scenes where shot. After the movie, go there and take pictures of your family.
Step4
Make your own movie. Memorizing the a scene from the movie, take your family to where the scene was shot and have everyone act out the part, why you video tape it.
Step5
Surprise your date or Mother by taking them to the location of their favorite movie. Such as, the United Methodist Church of La Verne, where they shot the church scene in the graduate or go bowling at Pop'n Pin Lanes in Preston, Idaho where they shot a scene from Napoleon Dynamite.

Tips & Warnings

  • Not all locations are in Los Angeles or New York. There are locations all over the U.S.
