  1. Step 1

    Think cool. Everyone deals with problems differently, but if you are thinking about something that is stressing you out, try to stay positive. Remember stressing out over something will not change the outcome, only actions will. Think about what you can do to get your desired outcome, he do it. Try not to dwindle on something little that you can not change.

  2. Step 2

    Eliminate unnecessarily stress. Yes, stress is a common factor of life, but to much stress is not health. For example, if you feel stressed when driving down large highways, find a detour when possible to lesson your stress. Do you find yourself always stress out about cleaning your house. Try to eliminate the things you do not need in your house, so you will have less to do.

  3. Step 3

    If you are lacking time for the activities that are important to you, you may be trying to do to much at once. Rethink what you do, and think about ways you can cut out things that is unneeded or not of great importance.

  4. Step 4

    If you can not avoid the stress, remove yourself. If possible slip away for a few minutes to get yourself back to normal, then reenter if necessary.

    Take time to relax, remember it okay to take time out and do nothing.

  6. Step 6

    Stop being so hard on yourself. You do not have to be perfect.

    Do breathing exercises.

    Keep ready made or easy to prepare meals to prepare for your family when you feel stressed, so you will avoid stress overload.

    Keep a record of the things that make you feel stressed. This will help you to become aware of the real stress causes in your life. I your a aware of what stresses you, it will be easer to control.

    Get an aquarium. Watching colorful fish swim gracefully through the water will lesson stress in little time.

    Get a furry pet. It has been said that petting a animal can lower cholesterol and stress level.

    If you fell overly stressed or experienced a high amount of anxiety seek professional help. If you get help early on you probably will experience less problems.
