Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
My mother discovered many years ago, that if you apply hydrogen peroxide to our clothes you could safely get rid of mold and mildew without discoloring them. Well, this little technique happens to work splendidly on toys, as well.
Simply gather all of your children's toys. Fill a shallow bucket with one part water and one part hydrogen peroxide.
Step2
Place as many toys in the bucket as will fit while still being completely submerged.
Step3
Let the toys soak for atleast an hour, or over night, depending on how badly soiled they are.
Step4
After soaking, take a scrub brush and scour over any visible signs of mold that still remain.
Step5
Rinse the toys and place them in a mesh bag with suction cups attached. Leave the bag hanging in the bathtub for the toys to air dry.
Step6
Once dry, inspect the toys to make sure they are free from mold and mildew. Fill the tub, bring on the bubbles, and tell the kids it's "bath time"!

on 5/11/2008 I like the tip on hydrogen peroxide on clothes. Sure enough, some of my baby's clothes have mold stains on them from staying damp too long before washes. While I'm working on their bath toys, I'll get the stains out of their sleepers too!
