Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- sheets of paper
- ideas of rewards
- to keep promises
Step1
It is a hard thing trying to get your kids to help do chores around the home but there are some tips to get them to coroparate. One you need to make a list of what chores you like them to do. List each childs name on a sheet of paper and below the name write each chore you would like them to do.
Step2
Be resonable with how many chores you place on each child. Next decide what rewards that your child can choose from if they complete thier chores for the week. Examples: movie, going to the park, or going to the ice cream shop are some examples.
Step3
Next explain to your children that they most do thier chores all week in order to get the reward. Stick by this one if they do not complete the task then there will be NO reward. Follow thru with promises I say is very imporant. Reason being that if you do not this system will not work. Good luck:)

on 7/18/2008 I totally agree with following thru on promises. It makes a huge difference. We have a chore chart for dinner dishes.

on 5/29/2008 I like this... It's like I say in my article on Surviving a Road Trip with Your Kids... "It's not bribery... it's incentive!"
