Wearing clothes that are on fire can be one of the most terrifying experiences a person can endure. In order to survive and douse the flames, there are a few short steps that need to be followed.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Gather your wits. Stop screaming and don’t think about the horrifying reality for a second.

  2. Step 2

Stop running around. Your motions will fan the flames and the more you run, the longer the heat has to burn you, or worse, melt your clothes onto your skin.

  3. Step 3

Drop your body to the floor. Fall down and fall down quickly.

  4. Step 4

Roll around on the floor. This rolling will limit the oxygen exposure to the flames and effectively pat out the flames.

Tips & Warnings
  • As soon as the flames are out, you may want to visit the hospital for any medical care.
