Have you ever gone to your cupboard and pulled out that box of dehydrated spuds then thought to yourself "They're not just the same as real potatoes"- here is a quick and lowfat fix for your carbohydrate needs.
1/4 Cup "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spread (melted)
Step1
Wash the potatoes thoroughly then poke several holes on the top of the potatoes. Microwave for 5-10 minutes (depending on size- fork will slide in and out of the potato easily when done).
Step2
Peel the potato using a knife or peeler then place skinned pieces of potatoes in a medium saucepan.
Step3
Mash up the potatoes with a fork or whip with a hand mixer.
Step4
Stir in the milk and melted butter.
Step5
Heat potato mixture in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Add a pinch of salt and pepper (to taste), add a little garlic if you want or leave unseasoned.
Tips & Warnings
If you cook the potatoes well enough you may be able to peel them using only your fingers- no knives or peelers necessary!
Be cautious when peeling potatoes- they may be hot if you peel directly out of the microwave.
