There are several options out there, but I would suggest Blogger.com as a great free option to start out with. It's owned by Google, allowing you to easily add Google Adwords in a few simple steps. This can help you generate some income from your blog over time.

Follow the design templates to get the basic layout of how you'd like your blog to look. You can also fine-tune these options after the blog is created. With Blogger, this is under the "Customize" category after you're able to view your blog. You can now also add other page elements including links to other web sites, pop-up YouTube videos, pictures, and many other items.
Step3
Take the time to read up on content and advertising options. Later on you may consider getting your own domain name and web hosting. This will give you more options in making money with your blog. Starting out with a free blog however will help you experiment without losing any money.
