this article will help any track and field participant to learn how to care for a discus, or possibly restore an old one.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • brillo pad
  • hot water
  • metal discus
  • towel
  • dish washing detergent
  1. Step 1

    rinse metal discus in hot water. remember to pay close attention to the rim, or outer are of the discus.

  2. Step 2

    lather the discus will dish washing detergent.

  3. Step 3

    scrub the rough areas with the brillo pad, until the grime is removed.

  4. Step 4

    rinse metal discus.

  5. Step 5

    dry metal discus with a towel.

Tips & Warnings
  • try not to scrub too hard, to be sure not to make visible scratches on your discus.
  • make sure the water is not too hot, to be sure not to scold yourself
