Craving fried ice cream but don't want to leave the comforts of your own home, not to mention, the crowds. Worry no more! With these tips, you'll be savoring fried ice cream in no time.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 3 cups crushed cornflakes cereal or cinnamon toast crunch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 egg whites
  • 2 quarts oil
  1. Step 1

    Scoop ice cream into 1/2 cup sized balls.

  2. Step 2

    Place on cookie sheet lined with wax paper and freeze for about 2 hour.

  3. Step 3

    Take a bowl and combine the cornflakes and cinnamon.

  4. Step 4

    In a separate dish beat the egg whites.

  5. Step 5

    Roll ice cream balls into egg whites.

  6. Step 6

    Next, deep the rolls into the cornflake mixture.

  7. Step 7

    Cover the ice cream balls and freeze for another 2 hours.

  8. Step 8

    pour oil in frying pan. Make sure it's deep enough for the ice cream balls. A deep fryer works best.

  9. Step 9

    Using a spoon place the balls in the frying pan for about 10 seconds or until golden brown.

  10. Step 10

    Place in plate lined with a paper towel

  11. Step 11

    Drizzle hot fudge and cool whip! The kids will love doing this part.

Tips & Warnings
  • Taste best when shared with friends and family.
  • When frying don't leave in oil to long
  • Make sure oil is hot before placing your ice cream balls in.
  • Don't be afraid to get creative, add coconut flakes, chopped walnuts or cookie crumbs to the cornflakes for an added flare.
  • Oil is very hot, so be very careful
