How to Make Cheesy Rotel Dip

From the Republic of Texas comes this TexMex standard. No party is complete without it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Velveeta block cheese
  • Rotel (There are many varieties, so pick your favorite.) [Ratio: one can Rotel to half block of Velveeta]
  • Large microwavable bowl
  • Stirring spoon
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Can Opener
  • Tortilla Chips
  1. Step 1

    Cut up Velveeta in small cubes, about one inch or so in size.

  2. Step 2

    Place in bowl.

  3. Step 3

    Open can(s) of Rotel and drain half the water.

  4. Step 4

    Put in bowl with cheese.

  5. Step 5

    Microwave on regular setting for about one minute.

  6. Step 6

    Stir mixture.

  7. Step 7

    Repeat steps 5 and 6 until mixture is completely melted with no lumps.

  8. Step 8

    Fiesta time! Dip tortilla chips and enjoy the party in your mouth!

Tips & Warnings
  • Feel free to add the cheese and Rotel in increments. Sometimes it can overflow the bowl if it gets too hot too fast.
  • Be careful not to eat the whole bowl! It's so easy to do. It's just that good.
