This is a new twist on how to bake moist barbecue chicken breasts.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 container of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • 3 tbs. of salt
  • 2 medium red apples
  • brush for the barbecue
  • large ceramic dish with lid (can use foil) in place of lid
  1. Step 1

If you have time, you should marinate your chicken breasts in the barbecue sauce for at least two hours. If you don't have time don't worry they still come out great. Soak your breasts in a large bowl of water with three tablespoons of salt for approximately 45 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Cover the ceramic dish with 1/2 inch of barbecue sauce. While waiting for your chicken breasts slice the apples.

  3. Step 3

After chicken is done soaking fully cover each breast in barbecue sauce and place in ceramic dish. Layer the slices of apples around and on top of the chicken. If the breasts have bones in them, place in the oven for approximately 1hour 15min; if they are boneless cook them for approximately 50min.

  4. Step 4

Halfway through the cook time remove the breasts from the oven and cover with barbecue sauce once more. When finished enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Before eating breasts, cut into the middle of them to see if they are fully cooked.
