When someone receives breakfast in bed, it's a beautiful treat that will definitely be appreciated. Here is a simple way to prepare and serve breakfast in bed to someone you love.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Serving tray that has sides to it.
  • Small Vase
  • Single Flower
  • Two beverages
  • Silverware
  • Cloth napkin
  • Small gift
  • newspaper or magazines
  • Plate
  • Breakfast food
  1. Step 1

Get a tray that has sides to it so that the tray can fit on a persons lap.

  2. Step 2

Find a small vase and place it on a tray. Fill it with only a small amount of water.

  3. Step 3

Place a single flower in the vase.

  4. Step 4

Get the favorite food of the recipient of the breakfast in bed. Breakfast in bed is all about the recipient so if their favorite breakfast food happens to be french toast or even a breakfast sandwich from Burger King, then that's what should be served. Place it on a nice plate that is centered on the tray.

  5. Step 5

Roll the silverware in a cloth napkin and place it next to the plate.

  6. Step 6

Place two types of drinks, such as coffee and orange juice, in cups on the tray.

  7. Step 7

To add a special touch add a small personal gift, even if it is something inexpensive such as a small teddy bear.

  8. Step 8

Bring along the newspaper or a few magazines to accompany the breakfast.

Tips & Warnings
  • Have the breakfast ready before you know they usually wake up.You would hate to plan something so nice and they are already up and dressed.
  • Make sure not to scare them when you wake them so they don't fling their arms and knock the breakfast out of your hands.

on 9/21/2008 Here is the rest of my post:

*I like finding overnight recipes that are set up the night before and chilled overnight. The next morning you just take it out and bake. I do this just after dishes so my husband is not aware of what I am doing. I use the time the next morning while it is baking to set up our trays, make juice, etc.

*Try different recipes to WOW! your partner/yourself. I like using the following sites: http://www.innrecipes.com/breakfast.html

on 9/21/2008 Here are a few things that I do to make it perfect:

*Use your china to serve breakfast on. My husband loves when I break out the china which I use only for special occasions such as this.

*Either use their favorite flower or an unusual flower. I buy these the day before and store them in the veggie drawer...my husband never looks there.

*Use cloth napkins! I pick really cool ones up pretty cheap on clearance at places like Target.

*Use a charger to enhance the look of your tray. If you don't have a charger, use a nice place mat to line the bottom of your tray.

*Use a small bud vase (with a small amount of water) and use some sticky 2 sided tape on the bottom to keep it in place while you walk to the bedroom.

*Remember to fill your glasses only 3/4 full to avoid spilling while walking or getting into bed.

*I like finding overnight recipes that are set up the night bef
