Sick of flabby arms? Don't want to lift and get big muscles? Read on to learn how to properly lift weights to tone muscle.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • a pair of 2-10 lb free weights for women
  • a pair of 12-20 lb free weights for men
Step1
To choose what weight to use, do 1 rep of 10 bicep curls. If you feel a burn after 10, this is too much and will build muscle. Choose a lighter weight until you do not feel a burn after 10 curls.
Step2
Once the appropriate weight is chosen, do a set of 20 lifts (10 per arm or 20 together).
Step3
Rest for only 1 Minute
Step4
Repeat for 4 reps with only a 1 minute break in between

Tips & Warnings

  • This is teaching your muscles to tone and gain endurance rather than lifting heavy weights which will cause muscle mass.
  • Do not continue lifting if you feel any sharp pains anywhere in your body
  • Never lift more than you can manage without a spotter to help
