Working from home definitely has it's benefits, but it can also test your sanity and create a negative environment if not handled properly. These few simple steps can help to make working at home enjoyable.
Get Out. Geing out of the house once a day is a great way to energize yourself. Even if you just take a walk around the block, or a drive through the park.
Step2
Workspace. Keep your work place seperate from the rest of the house. By keeping the area you work out of sight, it is easier to relax when you're not working. If you work from the kitchen table, every time you walk by, you will think of something that has to be done.
Step3
Another good reason to keep your work hidden away is to avoid those you live with from picking things up, or moving projects you could be working on.
Step4
Take Breaks. By taking a few minutes to change a load of laundry or put dishes in the dishwasher (that's one of the benefits of working at home), you will be able to relax for a bit and come back to your work refreshed.
Step5
Hours. Decide on an acceptable number of hours to work each day, and then stick with it. Working too much can cause stress to you and your family, and not working enough could keep you from being able to pay the bills.
