Rental property maintanence is a great way to make extra money, or even turn into a business.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
With the growing number of rental properties, many owner's simply do not have the time to care for each individual property. This provides a great opportunity for anyone that's fairly handy. To get started, you will need to find these types of owners. This can be done by searching your local classifieds for property for rent, and contacting them directly; or by placing your own classified ads or flyers around town.
Step2
Another great way to get started is by contacting local apartment complexes and rental condo associations. These are both great ways to find a lot of work.
Step3
Offer relatively basic services to begin with, such as cleaning, painting, small drywall repair, etc., at affordable prices. Lower prices will provide you with more opportunities, as most property owner's are trying to make as much money as possible with their investment property.
Step4
Once you get started in this type of business, the amount of jobs will increase as your clients begin to tell other property owner's of the services you offer.
