Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- your mind set
- a gym membership
- healthy food
Step1
When you get to college you meet a much older group of people than your use too. This brings about going out all the time to restaurants and parties.
When you go to restaurants try to order something that is more healthy for you like a salad. Stay away from hamburgers and fatty foods. Also stay away from fast food! Just because it's easy and cheap doesn't mean it's not going to catch up to you.
Step2
Now the toughie: Parties. Try to limit your consumption of alcohol. Yes, it's good, and we all are guilty of underage drunkeness, but to much of the stuff will really show. If your going to drink then do it moderately. Don't drink and party every weekend. Choose maybe one weekend out of the month where you party.
Step3
This may sound strange but get a job. Working is a great way to stay busy when your not in school. It keeps you from gorging yourself and limits the amount of parties you can actually go too. Your also not likely to be allowed to eat while on the job.
Step4
Workout! The best way to keep the pounds off is to simply workout. Join your local gym and try to go every day for at least 30 minutes. Even if your only going to run on the treadmill it will still be more than what you were doing before. If you don't have the money to join a gym enlist a friend to start doing pilates in your living room and taking short runs.
Step5
When your at home limit your snacking. Buy healthy foods instead of food that is saturated in sugars. Also, limit your pop consumption. Cutting back pop can help you more than your imagination can tell you. When your stressing out over a final or test don't gorge on sugary foods. Grab some celery and munch on that.
