How to make even limited amount of time, quality time

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Time is a commodity for most people. Between work, school, homework, household chores, sports, etc, trying to spend quality time with kids can be difficult. Here is a way to make it work.
Step2
Identify how much time each day can be allowed. There may be days that are not possible. Try for at least 30 minutes each day
Step3
Identify activity. It can be a game, reading together, or even a cooperative chore (cooking, cleaning, washing car).
Step4
Remember the point is to do something together, that can be fun or non stressful. Kids, like everyone else, want to feel acknowledged and special. Helping cook a meal, can give a sense of accomplishment.
Step5
For very busy schedules, identify a family day or night. It can include pizza night, seeing or renting a movie, etc. Identifying a specific day also allows child to know that they are special.
Step6
Plan a parent child day, where you are one to none with your child. If you have more than 1 child, do it on seperate days. It does not have to be all day. It can be a trip for ice cream. The idea is that it is one to one time.
Step7
Create a calendar of events. Include pizza night, movie night, game night, etc. Also include special events, like birthday parties, etc.
