This will show you how to put a dvd of yours in your PC's (or mac) dvd drive, rip it onto your computer, upload it to itunes, and put it on your Ipod without costing you a penny!
Go to google, and type in Magic DVD ripper and click enter, then click on the first link and click on Free download on the first program "magic DVD Ripper" (and DO NOT worry this program is safe) NOT magic DVD copier. Save the file, wait for it to download, open it and then install it and put an icon on your desktop.
Ok now that you have the program open it and put a DVD that you want on your Ipod in the DVD drive and wait for it to show up on Magic DVD Ripper and when it does set the destination to whatever folder you want to save it to (it doesn't matter which one you pick) and under output set the profile to Ipod. Now don;t change anything else and click start. it should say how much time is remaining at the bottom, it can range anywhere from 30 to 50 minutes for a full length film so be patient.
Now time to put it on your Ipod! Plug your Ipod in at open Itunes. Hit Import under the File tab in the upper left hand corner and find the movie that you want to import. Now open the folder containing the movie and right click on the movie (It should be called TITLE01) and rename it to whatever the movies name is and then click on it again and hit open. Now it should be in the "Movies" Section on Itunes. Now all you have to do is drag it into your Ipod and wait a few seconds for it to copy and presto! now you can enjoy it on your Ipod!
