This is so super EASY and SO cheap AND it works BETTER than the store bought starch. Not to mention, it is corn starch and water, so no chemicals to worry about either! I wish I would have known sooner!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 spray bottle
  • 1-2 T of cornstarch
  • 2 Cups COLD water
  • THAT's IT!
  1. Step 1

Take a clean, empty spray bottle (I usually can find them at the dollar store). You can use an empty spay bottle that you have washed out with soap and water but do not use a bottle that previously had chemicals in it.

  2. Step 2

Put 1-2 Tablespoons of corn starch in the spray bottle

  3. Step 3

Add 2 cups of cold water to the cornstarch

  4. Step 4

Shake the bottle well to properly mix the cornstarch with the water.

  5. Step 5

Use just like you would use your regular spray starch for ironing clothing.

  6. Step 6

Discard mixture after two weeks. You can empty the bottle, wash it out with soap and warm water, and fill the bottle with a fresh mixture every couple weeks. It will only cost you pennies as cornstarch is pretty cheap.

Tips & Warnings
  • This mixture will only stay good about 2-3 weeks. It will give off a bad smell after that. You may want to cut this recipe in 1/2 if you will not use a full bottle with in 2 weeks.
