Step1
You're getting ready to start your day at work out head out in public. You are not particularly happy or in the smiling mood, but you know that you can't be rude and not at least issue a smile. Here's what you can do.
Step2
Think of a funny movie or anything that may make you laugh or smile just before coming in contact with someone. This will appear real and the other person will know no difference. If you try just smiling and it's not real, you will be transparent and the individual can tell if it's fake or not.
Step3
Telling yourself not to smile usually is a good reverse psychology role you can pull on yourself. You are able to issue a quick and pleasant smile this way.
Step4
If you are a good actor, smile only when you know someone will be in direct contact with you. You do not have to smile when they are not around.
