1. Take a required Tutor Training Class. These classes are free of charge and are offered on a monthly basis.

2. Following the completion of your Tutor Training class, you will be matched with a learner. You must meet with your learner for at least an hour each week. You must commit to tutoring your learner for at least a year.

3. Work with your learner on functional literacy skills. Patience and understanding are an important part of being a successful tutor.

4. Have fun!
