Things You'll Need:
- Drive to succeed
- Baked goods donated by family and friends
-
Step 1
Sign up online. Ask around your office or group of friends and family to see if anyone would want to join you. Chances are good, since its a great cause!
Bring the idea up to your boss or supervisor, fund raisers are great not only for the community, but also for the company! -
Step 2
Hold a bake sale. while putting out the jar for spare change is good, people around the work place would love to buy those home made goodies for a buck or two. (you will definitely want to use home baked goods, no one wants to pay more for something you can get out of a vending machine!) Big posters help get the word out ahead of time.
Take a big basket of goodies around the work site or office building, no one can resist the temptation and ease of personal service! and big smiles help too :) -
Step 3
Have a luncheon. Get some volunteers together and hold a salad bar for RSVP's, or taco bar... anything easy. Have people RSVP so you can get an idea of how much food you will need, and let them know it will be 5$ or so a plate. Ask people that show up that have not RSVP'ed that they will need to pay double, or more so than everyone else. Put together a slide show or short movie so people have something to reflect on while eating. Make sure you decorate, and have fun!! These also bring people together and can act as team building.
