How to Barbecue Hotdogs

These barbecued hotdogs are perfect for family nights. The sauce can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated for later use.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 4 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 lb hotdogs

Step1
Melt butter in saucepan. Add chopped onions and cook until tender. Add sugar, mustard, worcestershire sauce, ketchup, water, and vinegar. Bring to a boil then remove from heat.
Step2
Slit each hotdog down the center and place each one, slit side up, in a shallow baking pan. Cover with sauce.
Step3
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes. Baste frequently.
