How to make a smoothie

Here is a super simple treat that will please the whole family! Couldn't be easier, couldn't taste better!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 Cup milk (can use powdered milk prepared)
  • 1 Cup frozen fruit of your choice
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 5-10 ice cubes
  • blender

Step1
combine frozen fruit, milk, ice, and sugar in blender
Step2
if you have an ice chopping setting on your blender use that first, if not, proceed to blend on med/ high for 2 minutes.
Step3
serve and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

  • make sure you blend the full 2 minutes. This seems like a long time but you need the full 2 minutes to make the texture right.
  • You can use splenda in place of the sugar
  • you can also add a table spoon of protein powder if you want to "pump up the health" in the smoothie

on 5/12/2008 You can use yogurt instead of milk, honey instead of sugar, and add a little wheat germ as well. And if you add a banana, no matter what else is in it, it will taste like BANANA! Thanks for a timely article. It just shows how simply we can do these things at home. 5 stars.
