Make Money On eHow!--Over 10 Different Suggestions Given

It's been said that writing for ehow probably won't make you rich...but these days every little bit helps. Turn the pennies you're making now into dollars with these simple tips and learn the secrets from those making big eHow bucks!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

READ THE SUGGESTIONS FROM EHOW.... Follow the suggestions given by ehow under Frequently Asked Questions: How to make money and increase earnings. Join the Writers Compension program, drive traffic to your articles, and write!

  2. Step 2

GO FOR THE BIG POINTS! You can find commonly requested articles after you log in to your profile by going to community. Most requested articles are often listed there. Some offer over 50 points! They may be out of your comfort zone of writing, but will help increase the amount you are making.

  3. Step 3

DRIVE TRAFFIC! Get your articles out there. Post your article links everywhere appropriate in order to drive traffic to your articles. If you wrote a parenting article, find a chatroom discussion and post your link. Post your link on high traffic sites. If an article on high traffic sites like Yahoo or MSN are similar to yours, post a comment and your link after the article.

  4. Step 4

VIEW AND WRITE MOST VIEWED ARTICLES: Find those articles that are viewed the most on ehow, and write about them. You'll get more traffic because they're generating traffic on their own with their popularity.

  5. Step 5

GO THROUGH OLD ARTICLES: Go through your old articles and read comments for improving, and change those things you feel would benefit the article. Look at your articles that aren't being viewed as often. Change the categories, or keywords you might be using to generate traffic to that article. Check your links in articles to make sure that they are still active and correct.

  6. Step 6

SET A GOAL TO CONSISTENTLY WRITE: Consistently writing an article or two a day or a week or a month will help you as a writer to add fresh, new material. The more articles you write, the more readers you have, and the more money you make!

  7. Step 7

RATE, COMMENT AND ADD FELLOW WRITERS: Rate your fellow writers, and give constructive criticism or positive comments. Help drive traffic to their articles as well. If they missed the mark on an article, don't publicly slam them in the comments section. Send them a private email suggesting things that might help boost their article ratings. Add fellow writers to your friends list. This will help generate other writers to your work.

  8. Step 8

DON'T STEAL CONTENT! Nothing is worse than to work hard on an article, than view someone else's profile that has almost the identical article you've written with the words changed a little bit. The key to successful writing on ehow is learning to find a successful how-to article that is original but will also appeal to a large audience. Popularity of an article is key when writing for ehow. If you write on most viewed articles, the key to drawing attention to your article is making it sound different from anyone else who also wrote on that same topic. Stealing content or similar content from others not only hurts your crediblity as a writer, but the success of this website.

  9. Step 9

ADD PICTURES AND VIDEOS: Draw attention to your articles with pictures, video, and links to other articles. Having pictures on your website draws attention from the eye of the reader. Picture products you might suggest using. Show a video on how to tie a particular knot. Having pictures and videos will also earn you more points for your article.

  10. Step 10

MAKE FRIENDS AWARE OF NEW ARTICLES: Almost daily I receive emails from fellow friends on my friends list making me aware of articles they have written and asking for my time to rate them. I'm much more aware of their new articles simply because they take the time to email me and rate my articles. I always make sure I take 5-10 minutes a day just reading and rating other articles. It's a great way to help your writing friends, and in return they will do the same for you too. This will help gain exposure and getting more people reading your articles and using them as a link for their own articles.
